What is Medicare?
Medicare is a federal insurance program that provides health coverage if you are 65+ or under 65 and have a disability, no matter your income.
Does Medicare cover incontinence supplies?
This is a common question that we hear from seniors every day. Unfortunately, the answer is no. Medicare does not cover incontinence supplies.
What is Medicaid?
Medicaid is a state and federal insurance program that provides health coverage if you have a very low income.

People who qualify for Medicaid usually meet a combination of the following requirements:

Does Medicaid cover incontinence supplies?
In most states, the answer is yes. There are a few states that do not cover incontinence supplies or will only cover supplies for pediatric patients.
What is QMB Medicare?
A Qualified Medicare Beneficiary is a person for whom the government must cover certain health care costs, including premiums, deductibles and copays. The Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) program is a Medicare Savings Program that helps qualified individuals meet the costs of Medicare premiums and deductibles. To qualify, people must be eligible for Medicare and meet income and asset guidelines.
Does QMB Cover Incontinence Supplies?
Generally, the only supplies you can receive are those covered by Medicare. Incontinence supplies are not covered by Medicare. In order to have incontinence supplies covered, you must qualify for full Medicaid benefits.
Can someone be eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid?
Yes. If you are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid (dually eligible), you can have both. They will work together to provide you with health coverage and lower your costs. Also know that while Medicare and Medicaid are both health insurance programs administered by the government, there are differences in covered services and cost-sharing. You can call 1-800-MEDICARE or contact your local Medicaid office to learn more about Medicare and Medicaid costs and coverage, especially if you are a dual-eligible.
Does Medicaid have to be my primary provider?
No. Incontinence products can be provided for beneficiaries who have Medicaid as their primary or secondary provider.
What incontinence supplies are covered by Medicaid?
ActivStyle offers a range of incontinence supplies to meet your needs. While most state Medicaid plans cover incontinence products, it is important to note; however, that not all products are available in all states because Medicaid plans vary from state to state.

Does ActivStyle have products for men?
Yes, ActivStyle has a range of incontinence products specifically for men including male guards (bladder control pads for men) and condom catheters. We also have protective underwear, adult diapers, booster pads, and other products to address the incontinence needs of men.
Does ActivStyle sell the PureWick System?
The answer is no. While PureWick is an innovative solution for managing urinary incontinence, it is not covered by Medicaid or Medicare. This means that beneficiaries must explore alternative options for paying for this product, such as private insurance or out-of-pocket payments.
Do I need to see my doctor about my incontinence before I contact ActivStyle?
It’s also a good idea to let your doctor know that you are working with ActivStyle to receive incontinence supplies through Medicaid. Most doctors will not provide a prescription for supplies unless they have seen you recently (i.e. within the past 6-12 months). A prescription will be required for you to receive supplies from ActivStyle through your Medicaid plan.
Do I need a prescription from my doctor to get incontinence supplies from ActivStyle?
Yes, in order for a Medicaid plan to cover incontinence supplies, they must be considered “medically necessary”. Your physician must provide a prescription to ActivStyle. Each Medicaid program has different requirements about which incontinence products are considered medically necessary, so the supplies covered will vary from state to state.

Can I get incontinence supplies paid for by Florida Medicaid?
Florida Medicaid does not cover adult incontinence supplies. However, Florida Medicaid does cover incontinence supplies for pediatric patients who are age 4 to 20.
Can I get incontinence supplies paid for by Georgia Medicaid?
Georgia Medicaid does not cover adult incontinence supplies. However, Georgia Medicaid does cover incontinence supplies for pediatric patients who are age 4 to 20.
Can I get incontinence supplies paid for by Louisiana Medicaid?
Louisiana Medicaid does not cover adult incontinence supplies. However, Louisiana Medicaid does cover incontinence supplies for pediatric patients who are age 4 to 20.
If I am in a hospital, nursing home, hospice or other skilled nursing facility, can I get incontinence supplies from ActivStyle?
No. ActivStyle can only deliver supplies to your home. We are not able to supply incontinence supplies to individuals residing in a skilled nursing facility.
Does ActivStyle only provide incontinence supplies?
Besides incontinence products, ActivStyle also offers urology supplies and catheters, pediatric supplies, ostomy supplies, some wound care, and nutritional drinks.
Can I provide special delivery instructions for my ActivStyle order?
Yes, but in order to do so, you must sign up for UPS My Choice. When you sign up for UPS My Choice, you will get updates on any UPS delivery to your address, including all ActivStyle orders. UPS My Choice puts you in control of your order and gives you options to reroute, hold, or cancel the delivery on your parcel so UPS can deliver it when and where you need it.

How do I track my order from ActivStyle?
Currently, there are three ways to track an ActivStyle order:
1) Contact customer service – You can reach out to our customer service team, and a representative will look up the UPS tracking number and provide you with the information.
2) Email Updates – Provide your email address to a customer service representative during a phone call, and you’ll receive updated tracking numbers and information for your orders. Additionally, you’ll have alternate options to confirm your monthly orders via email.
3) UPS My Choice – Sign up for UPS My Choice to get updates on any UPS delivery to your address, including all ActivStyle orders. UPS My Choice offers the following features for all your UPS shipments:
