Insurance can be confusing. We’ll make it easy to understand!

ActivStyle has been providing home medical supplies to people with Medicare, Medicaid and many other insurance plans for more than 25 years. When you call, the friendly Product Experts at ActivStyle will verify your current insurance plan and help you to know exactly what is covered, and what is not.

How do you qualify?

  • You need to be diagnosed with a medical condition resulting in incontinence.
  • ActivStyle will contact your doctor to obtain a required prescription. We recommend that you see your doctor before you sign up for services with ActivStyle and let the doctor know that you are working with ActivStyle.
  • ActivStyle staff will confirm your coverage through your health plan.
  • Once eligibility is confirmed, a monthly supply of incontinence products will be shipped discreetly to your door.

Medicare? Medicaid?  What’s the difference?

Medicare is a federally run health insurance program that provides medical care to people over 65 who have paid into Medicare, usually through their employer, at some point in their lives.  People can also qualify if they have certain long-term disabilities. Medicare covers 80% of covered services; individuals pay the remaining 20% plus any deductibles that may apply.

Medicaid is a state run health insurance program that is based on financial need and is provided to individuals and families of low income. Medicaid programs have different requirements and benefits from state to state. With Medicaid, we will help you to understand if you have full/traditional benefits or must pay toward your share of cost in the form of a spenddown or similar situation.

Do Medicaid and Medicare cover different products?   Yes!

Will Medicare pay for incontinence products?
No. Medicare does not cover incontinence products.  Medicare does cover urological and ostomy supplies. This includes most Medicare Advantage/Medicare replacement plans.

Will Medicaid pay for adult diapers?
In most states, yes (but not all states). Benefits differ from state to state. Call us and let an ActivStyle Product Expert explain the guidelines in your state, or you can contact your state’s Medicaid office.

Will Medicaid pay for other incontinence products?
Each state’s Medicaid plan is different. Some products may not be covered in your state.

Private Insurance

ActivStyle works with more than 50 different insurance plans across the country and coverage varies between plans. Our friendly, knowledgeable Product Experts can verify your insurance plan and help you understand what is covered and what is not.  Private insurance plans typically cover urological and ostomy supplies but not incontinence supplies.
